Ionosit Baseliner ensures stress-free composite restorations thanks to its shrinkage compensation.
Ionosit Baseliner combines the optimum properties of glass ionomers and composites in one material. The material expands in a controlled manner by approx. 1%, and this expansion counteracts the polymerisation shrinkage stress of the composite used. The structural stresses in the entire cavity are released in this way, and microfractures in the composite are minimised. The Baseliner thus reliably ensures long-lasting and functionally reliable restorations.
Ionosit Baseliner has been proven to form a strong bond with the dentine thanks to its innovative chemistry, creating a ‘reaction zone’. This efficiently prevents the formation of a marginal gap and associated bacterial penetration. The dentine tubules are sealed and the pulp is protected from exogenic influences. This is a reliable and permanent means of preventing pulp damage and postoperative sensitivities.
Thanks to the Saferings specifically developed by DMG, the Baseliner can be applied easily and directly. The follow-up check is also pleasantly simple thanks to the material’s radiopacity.
