Sonic Tips in Crown Preparation:
In close cooperation with Dr. Domenico Massironi, Italy, we have developed sonic tips for crown preparation. Further, special tips with working parts that are bisected lengthwise together were developed with Prof Gunay of the Medical University of Hanover.
Developed for exact positioning and finishing of the prosthetic margin after supragingival preparation with rotary instruments of identical shape. Interproximal trimming by means of sonic tips bisected lengthwise (mesial or distal).
These tips are gentle on soft tissue, thus avoiding laceration or haemorrhages that might hamper impression taking. The retratction cord is left in place. The tips create very fine crown margins, which is essential for perfect fitting, durable restorations. Improved adhesion of the cement thanks to the irregular structure of the crown core.
