Thalya+
Total handpiece maintenance
Thalya+ is designed to automate rotary instrument maintenance.
An all-in-one cycle includes purge, cleaning, disinfection, lubrication, excess oil purge and drying.
Maintenance plus hygiene.
The importance of handpiece and turbine maintenance.
Crucial tools for any dentist, these instruments also represent one of the biggest cross-contamination risks. When one of these rotating devices slows down or stops, back-siphoning effects can suck liquids inside the handpiece, hence the need to perform cleaning. Instruments cannot be sterilised without thorough cleaning being performed first. Disinfection, and equally important, lubrication, should happen after each use. This procedure is also essential for maintaining instrument quality.
A poorly maintained handpiece is often subject to breakdowns and accelerated wear.
Thalya+ can be used to treat up to 4 instruments simultaneously:
- Turbines
- Micromotor handpieces
- Scalers
To carry out treatment just use a dedicated adapter. The couplings can rotate 45 degrees, making it
easier to place and remove the instruments.
Using the specific adapter, micromotor handpieces can be placed in rotation during treatment so the detergent, disinfectant and lubricant reach every corner of the instrument
The complete Thalya+ cycle consists of 6 stages:
- Duct purge
- Internal cleaning
- Internal and external disinfection
- Lubrication
- Excess oil purge
- Drying
The 4 instruments are treated simultaneously, and the entire cycle lasts about 12 minutes.
Proper use of the Thalya+ requires detergent and disinfectant. The machine is equipped with two convenient integrated tanks on the right-hand
side of the device.
Refer to the user manual for liquids
