A sterile mixture of beeswax, paraffin, and isopropyl palmitate, a wax-softening agent.

• May be used for the control of bleeding from bone surfaces
• Achieves local hemostasis of bone by acting as a mechanical barrier
• Does not act biochemically and is non-absorbable
• Should not be used where rapid osseous regeneration and fusion are desired
