Elastomeric Glide-Ties are made with ‘low friction technology’ specially targeted towards the reduction of frictional binding forces in orthodontics. The super-tough FDA approved medical grade polyurethane is latex free, odorless, tasteless, highly stain resistant and designed to deliver a uniform continuous force over a long period of time.  They are injection molded in the conventional manner and then subjected to a ‘hydrothermal’ process that modifies the surface texture, creating a high degree of ‘slipperiness’.  This effect is permanent and significantly reduces treatment times.
