A place to be proud of!

Henry Schein Halas’ new Perth showroom is a first for the WA dental community, incorporating a state of the art training facility seating up to 70 people and fully functioning showroom enabling presentations that include both practical demonstrations and theory.

The showroom itself will have six fully functioning dental chairs, a full contingent of OPG and digital imaging units, functioning sterilisation and a dedicated CAD/CAM area.

By building the new showroom, we aim to cement our goal to not only deliver great service and largest choice of dental products in the market, but also provide you with ongoing support in running your dental practice and delivering ongoing professional development opportunities.

Having this fantastic training facility will drive us into the future, providing on-site practical training courses to the dental community, from clinical courses to product trainings as well as classes on how to grow and support your practice.

Construction of the new Perth Showroom supports our national strategy to develop the way we support our customers and become a trusted business partner to your dental practice.

In 2016 we saw the grand opening of new facilities in both Victoria and Queensland and the new Perth office is another step forward in enabling us to help the dental community grow and advance the level of patient care provided across Australia.

We will announce the grand opening shortly, however, if you live in Perth and would like the inside scoop or an exclusive look contact Tom Mathers our WA Equipment Specialist or your Territory Manager.

However, the mechanical properties are also important, not least because the restorative material will be in direct contact with the antagonist teeth. And finally, handling properties are essential: The right level of flowability is needed for proper injection, while a void-free application is required for an intact, stainresistant surface.

Irradiance vs. Power: Curing Light Performance

Irradiance vs. Power: Curing Light Performance

As curing light technology improves, dentists are consistently sold on irradiance (mw per cm2) as being the defining factor in beam effectiveness. While there is no doubt irradiance adds value, it does not tell the full story of how well a light will cure various materials. Irradiance tests typically only show the irradiance of a very small portion of the light. Measuring the power distributed over the entire beam tells a more comprehensive story of its curing capabilities.
