As of October 1st 2015, BioHorizons and Henry Schein Halas will enter a new era of cooperation in Australia. BioHorizons Australia, part of the global Henry Schein family of companies, will join Henry Schein Halas. Together, this will bring exciting new opportunities for BioHorizons and Henry Schein Halas to partner on CPD programs, symposiums, workshops and other activities for the benefit of the dental profession.

We are pleased to announce that beginning October 1st 2015, BioHorizons products will be available through Henry Schein Halas. More information will be released over the coming weeks regarding the integration of BioHorizons and Henry Schein Halas. Please contact our surgical customer service team on 1300 769 861 for any assistance you may require.

As part of this change, beginning October 1st 2015, Southern Implants will no longer be available through Henry Schein Halas. We will continue to support Southern Implants until this time.

The Henry Schein Halas comprehensive range of surgical products and solutions continues to expand with leading brands such as Mectron, Septodont, EMS, B.Braun Aesculap, Hu-Friedy, Osstell, KaVo, Morita and Johnson & Johnson. This product was finally developed despite many difficulties through the high technological skills and persistent creative efforts of engineers at J. MORITA MFG. CORP. 12 years after the first release of the Torqtech series. We interviewed Mr. Hitoshi Tanaka, one of the engineers at J. MORITA MFG. CORP., for his insight into the development of the Torqtech Red Band Handpiece in Part 1 and the Torqtech Red Band Ultra Mini Handpiece in Part 2.

Morita released the Torqtech Red Band Handpiece Ultra Mini in October 2022 in response to requests from many dentists.
