The National Dental Foundation (NDF) is committed to providing dental care to people all across Australia who are otherwise unable to access treatment. Each year the NDF provides free dental treatment to over 1000 patients, through the amazing volunteer efforts of dentists and practices. This year, the NDF has its sights set on increasing volunteers in order to treat more vulnerable patients.

Henry Schein Halas is proud to be a supporter of such an important oral health initiative. To each dentist that volunteers for the NDF through their Dental Rescue Days, Henry Schein Halas sends a box of consumables, as well as, with the generous help of Colgate, a toothbrush and toothpaste for every patient treated.

The NDF is also lucky enough to have the support of the Pacific Smiles Group, who are a major sponsor of the foundation. Their support has ensured that the NDF were able to continue coordinating much needed free dental treatments. Through the support of all the NDF sponsors within the dental community, the foundation has been able to provide over $600,000 worth of dental treatment to vulnerable people across Australia in 2015 alone, and they’re showing no signs of stopping!

Due to limited access to government funding, the NDF rely on generous industry sponsorship and donations to support the coordination of successful Rescue Days that assist those in need of access to free dental care.
