Mike Covey, VP & Managing Director of Henry Schein Halas, is one of the four finalists of CEO Magazines Health and Pharmaceutical 2017 Executive of the Year. The Awards celebrate the success, innovation and business acumen of individuals in corporate Australia.  Ten judges have chosen the finalists from thousands of entries. To have a dental company feature at the forefront of health related companies not only shows Henry Schein Halas in a good light but reinforces the strength of the dental industry as a whole. Being a finalist is a true reflection of the efforts of Team Schein members and the development of a local strategic plan which is taking the Henry Schein Halas business to the next level in a rapidly changing dental industry. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in November.

This product was finally developed despite many difficulties through the high technological skills and persistent creative efforts by engineers at J. MORITA MFG. What are the most important properties of a flowable composite used for the flowable injection technique? Personal experience shows that balanced optical properties are essential, with an appropriate translucency, blend-in ability and surface gloss leading the way. However, the mechanical properties are also important, not least because the restorative material will be in direct contact with the antagonist teeth. And finally, handling properties are essential: The right level of flowability is needed for proper injection, while a void-free application is required for an intact, stainresistant surface.
